57TH ANNUAL PIONEER PICNIC

It was a day to remember when Henry joined "The Harker School's of San Jose" in packing up the wagons and headin' west to Blackford for a rootin' tootin' humdinger of a shindig at their 57th Annual Harker Pioneer Picnic which took place on a Sunny Sunday Afternoon October 14, 2007!

Folks have been gettin' together for 57 years now to celebrate good ole fashioned fun at this Family and Alumni Event. The festival featured tons of activities for all including a full fledged carnival, specialty booths, a petting zoo and lots of down home cookin' too! In addition there were special guests from the West, a Golden Silent Auction and much more to do all day long!

There was also plenty of singing and stage shows from many of the schools theatre students and some toe tappin, knee slappin' entertainment from special guest "Mr. Hopping Mad! Henry Costa," who taught the hot boot scootin' "Rawhide", "Ah Si!" and "Hillbilly Rock and Roll" to an enthusiastic crowd of steppers of all ages!!

Henry Says, "I'd like to thank Adam Herbel and the Harker Pioneer Picnic Staff for allowing me to be a part of their fabulous event! I truly enjoyed sharing a Boot Scootin' afternoon of fun with all of you! Here's wishing all of you and your fabulous schools the best always!"
